With a single blade and a thirty inch cutting deck it has a tight twelve inch turning radius which is the tightest you will find in a riding mower. This more than makes up for the slightly smaller cutting deck compared to other riding lawn mowers. Side discharge is efficient in most conditions but is a bit erratic on wet grass or long clippings when some clumping occurs. For a regularly maintained lawn this won't be a problem. The blade is adjustable between one inch and 3 3/4 inches.

The Snapper RE200 RE1330 is a bit on the heavy side at 415lbs but it maneuvers well thanks to the Ground hugger Traction system which allows independent pivoting of the rear wheels. The Auto Levelling system is very efficient at keeping the machine level on uneven surfaces to ensure an even cut. This works well on tight turns and when mowing around obstacles.

The rear mounted Briggs and Stratton engine at 13hp is a little small and the top speed is only 5mph. Coupled with the small deck the mowing time is going to be longer than with more powerful mowers with larger decks. It has good power however due to the hydrostatic transmission and is equally at home going forward or in reverse which is easily selected by a hand lever.

Some of the weight is due to the very sturdy steel frame. There is a two gallon fuel tank, a little small for a large yard, but average for this type of lawn mower. It is comfortable to ride with a high backed, adjustable seat although no cup holder!

For a medium sized lawn area it performs well. It is heavy so transporting may be a problem but it maneuvers well despite the weight. It produces a very even cut even on uneven terrain.

Advantages

Disadvantages

Slightly expensive, rather small fuel tank, heavy
