The Lawn-Boy Insight 10685 is a self propelled gas powered lawn mower with a host of features and mowing options. It is very easy to use and dependable and is excellent value for money. The three in one system allows for side discharge, rear bagging or mulching and switching between them is easy and takes only seconds. There is no trap door as on other mowers but a mulch plate performs the same function and is snapped into place easily when you want to change to the mulching option. Emptying or removing the bag is easy and can even be done one handed.
There are many features that contribute to the comfort of the operator including a recoilless starter which is very easy to pull and is large enough to grip comfortably. It is also well positioned, high on the handle which makes it very easy to use. The handle itself has a padded grip, the height is easily adjustable and it folds away with a foot operated lever, making the mower compact and easy to store. The wheels are large and make maneuvering easy and there are inset wheels to allow very close mowing around flower beds and other obstacles.
The Lawn Boy Sens-a-Speed system automatically adjusts the speed up to 5 mph and is really easy to use. You simply hold the handle and walk, the mower automatically adjusts to your walking speed. The only disadvantage we found is that the cutting height has to be adjusted individually for each wheel unlike many mowers which have one lever adjustment.
Easy to use, light weight and maneuverable the Lawn-Boy Insight 10685 is ideal for those who want a self propelled mower at a reasonable price.
